Come enjoy a series of free music concerts “al fresco” in the MARK Amphitheater on three Friday evenings, from 6 – 8 p.m. The concerts are sponsored by the MARK Project with support from the O’Connor Foundation and bring several of the area’s most popular musical acts to the open air performance space next to the Masonic Hall on Margaretville’s Main Street.
The next concert will feature the “Disciples of Agriculture” on August 14, a local band hailing from nearby Bovina. Their roots-rock offers a rambunctious country-folk twist, with many of their songs written by front man, Dan Finn, about the Catskills region. Other band members include Keith Christopher on guitar, and Bovina residents Ed Denison on drums and John “Chico” Finn on bass.
On August 28, the concert series closes with popular cabaret-style duo, Patricia Dell and Kent Brown, who will bring to life some of the best-loved classics of musical theater, along with their trademark rapport with their audience.
All concerts start at 6 p.m. and are free, with donations appreciated. Bring a picnic and your favorite beverage to enjoy and a lawn chair or blanket for seating. In case of rain, the concert will move to the Village Pavilion in the Village Park. For more information, call 845 586-3500.
