WIOX is currentlty broadcasting in the “soft” launch mode and continuing through the developmental stages as a fully licensed and operational regional public radio station. This collaboration with the Town of Roxbury, GRLIC Foundation, Roxbury Arts Group, MARK Project and several schools, not-for-profits, and businesses will offer our communities the opportunity to have their voices heard…on the air.
On Friday, August 27, WIOX had a wonderfully successful Launch Party at the station located at Bridge St in Roxbury. Program hosts and DJ’s were on hand to meet the public with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5:00 PM. People as far away as Walton and Bainbridge came to join in the fun and meet the staff.
