The MARK Project Inc. is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit, tax-exempt rural development company that unites efforts and secures resources to build and revitalize our communities. Contributions to the MARK Project are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
In accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations, your contribution will be acknowledged with a contributor’s letter which will serve as official acknowledgement of our receipt of your gift. The MARK Project Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
WE ARE ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS FOR HURRICANE IRENE AND FLOOD RELIEF AND REBUILDING.
You can make your contribution by using pay pal (below) and can earmark your donation to a specific community by placing the name of the community in the “purpose” box. The purpose box can also be used for any other specific ways in which you wish to direct funds i.e. Fleischamnns Businesses. If the purpose box simply says Flood Relief then it will go to assist individuals, families and businesses in the MARK Project service area who were affected by the flood. You can also contribute by sending a check to the MARK Project Box 516, Arkville, NY 12406 and specify use in memo section of your check.
Our Relief and Rebuild Fund will assist individuals, families, and businesses affected by Hurricane Irene and the subsequent flooding. The MARK Project has been administrating home repair funds and economic development funds for small business for over 30 years. We will continue to assist in any way possible to help our communities get back on their feet and help our businesses to rebuild and reopen. For 30 years, MARK has provided housing programs, economic development and technical assistance services to the Towns of Andes, Middletown and Roxbury and the Villages of Fleischmanns and Margaretville.
We work on economic development efforts in the areas of outdoor recreation and tourism, arts and culture, agriculture and forest products and alternative health and healing and on the business and social activities that support and sustain our communities. Our goal is to improve the lives of those who live and work here, to create an attractive destination for those who visit. We work to build the capacity of individuals, organizations, businesses and municipalities and provide resources that help them achieve their own per-determined goals.
