Board of Directors

Steve Finch
President

“I was born and raised and have lived my life in the hamlet of Halcottsville.  The Catskills region is a beautiful and safe place to live and raise a family.  I count myself among the very fortunate to have been able to stay in this area and earn a living. My goal would be to have more people who could do the same.  My hope is that my local business, civic and leadership experiences and knowledge of the area will be a benefit to others through my connection to the MARK Project and the many exciting programs that MARK offers to residents, businesses and municipalities in our region.  Sustainable economic growth and responsible management of our local resources is crucial to our area and one that we all need to work together to achieve.”

Suzanne Gladstone
Vice President

Suzanne spent her early years in the Central NY area graduating from Jordan-Elbridge HIgh School near Syracuse. Initially, her career started in the Construction and Engineering field however after meeting her soon to be husband, Wayland, a life-long Andes resident, she married and relocated to the family’s multi-generation dairy farm in Andes eventually raising two daughters. She attended SUNY Delhi RN program graduating in 1988. Early in her nursing career she was employed as an RN at Margaretville Memorial Hospital and Delaware County Public Health, she soon found her passion for geriatric nursing serving in numerous capacities at the Countryside Care Center in Delhi. She later accepted the Director of Nursing position in 2002 at Mountainside Residential Care Center where she continues to dedicate her efforts toward high quality resident care.
Suzanne has served the community in many roles since choosing Andes as her home including ACS Board of Education, Planning Board, Fire Department and EMS, Stars and Stripes, Comprehensive Plan Review Committee and the Andes Chamber of Commerce. When she’s not providing nursing care or community service, her and her husband continue farming through the beef and hay industry. Her free time is spent attending the activities of her five grandchildren and caring for her beloved miniature donkeys.

David Reilly
Treasurer

“The Main Street projects are the most important work MARK does. Trying to help the towns rise up helps everyone.  It attracts tourists, it creates jobs, it raises everyone up. My background as a CPA helps me to look at financial data for MARK, and try to make decisions that will allow MARK to be here for many years to come.”

Cambria Tallman
Secretary

Thomas Hugh White

“I joined the MARK Board because, quite simply, they are the most impactful organization in the area working to improve conditions, opportunities, and outlook for residents here. Our communities are in a constant fight for existence, much less a bright, thriving future. MARK is a catalyst, a provider of hope; challenging and providing expertise and leadership. My business and military experience give me a clarity in reducing big issues to manageable actions.”

Deanna Osborn

“I joined MARK to give back to the surrounding communities where I grew up and where my roots are. So many younger people here like me don’t know what MARK does or that they could benefit from its programs, whether it’s individual loans for homebuyers, business loans or grants for local towns. Educating people about MARK is key to what I do on the board.”

Chris Hensley

“With a background in marketing, managing events and business development, I joined MARK to make a real contribution to the region. MARK provides a holistic approach to growing sustainable local communities at a grassroots, individual person/business level. For small, challenged communities like ours, it doesn’t get more real than this.”

Gary Smith

“Being a life long resident, a Fleischmanns/Margaretville community member, and a past business owner, I have personally witnessed the formation of the MARK project. MARK literally resurrected the Village of Margaretville from a devastating fire in the 70’s. Through the vision of MARK, the village was able to rebuild itself and continued to grow and prosper. MARK did not stop there. It continues to provide assistance to neighboring towns and individuals, helping to create a positive impact to everyone in the area. I have the same passion for this community and share the same beliefs of MARK’s mission statement. I am honored to serve on the board and will do my best to uphold this area’s well being, and help move forward with new ideas and programs.”

Madie Decker

“I grew up in Delaware county and have spent the past 5 years working in Margaretville as an accountant. Working with the M-Ark project I get to see the daily efforts put in by its staff to support the community and provide services to encourage growth and new opportunities in the area.”
